JUSTIN BARCIA FIFTH IN SALT LAKE CITY 450SX SUPERCROSS FINALS
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing rider Justin Barcia finished off his 2024 AMA Supercross Championship season on a high note with a fifth-place result at Salt Lake City's Rice-Eccles Stadium tonight, continuing his late run of form in the 17th and final round. Bam Bam battles to fifth in final 450SX Main Event of 2024Pierce Brown finishes fourth in final 250SX East standingsKiwi revelation Cole Davies rips to 250SX Futures crown! Barcia put his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition sixth on the time sheets at the conclusion of qualifying and then impressed with second position in the opening premier class Heat race of the night. From there, he kept momentum into the 450SX Main Event, where he would greet the checkered flag in fifth position, marking his third top-five result across the final four races of the series. He claimed eighth in the championship points in the end. Justin Barcia: "Salt Lake City was a good way to end the Supercross season. I felt very comfortable all day, which landed me finishing second in the Heat race, and I’m happy to end the season with a top-five finish on my GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition. I’m focused and ready for the outdoors now!" The second 250SX East/West Showdown of the year was a challenging one for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing, with Pierce Brown qualifying fifth and then replicating that result in the 250SX East Heat, but he had to settle for 12th in the Main Event. That result saw him finish the season fourth in the final standings on his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition. Utah was also a mixed outing for 250SX West newcomer Ryder DiFrancesco, the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing rider qualifying in P7 and then racing to ninth in the western regional Heat race. He was 13th in the 250SX East/West Showdown Main Event, which maintained 12th position overall in his first season of AMA Supercross as a professional. Ryder DiFrancesco: "I started out today decent and kept working to improve throughout the day. It wasn't what we wanted overall, but going into the outdoors fresh now and am looking forward to that." GASGAS amateur standout Cole Davies once again made a major impression in winning the 250SX Supercross Futures Main Event in Salt Lake City, crowned the AMA National Champion in the category following what has been a breakout year for the New Zealander on his GASGAS MC 250F. Cole Davies: "It's definitely good to get this experience in the Supercross Futures and I've improved at each round. I'm super excited to win this title with GASGAS and really appreciate everybody who has been behind us this year!" FOURTH IN DENVER SUPERCROSS A CONTINUATION OF JUSTIN BARCIA TURNAROUND
A fourth-place finish from Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing rider Justin Barcia at Denver's penultimate stop of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship saw him continue his rapid run of late-season form, making further progression that he's been building upon in recent weeks. P4 result Bam Bam's best finish since San Diego podiumTroy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing makes further gainsRyder D returns in an inspired ride to 11th position Barcia qualified ninth on his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition, before racing to fourth in the second 450SX Heat race of the round. After completing the opening lap in P6, a consistent effort in the Main Event saw him move forward to a fourth-place finish, which has in turn elevated him to ninth in the championship standings following 16 of 17 rounds. Justin Barcia: "Practice and Qualifying were good today, and then the Heat race was okay, even if fourth wasn't exactly what I wanted. Going into the Main, I knew the track had deteriorated and that my bike would work good on that in the hard-pack. I got a pretty good start, had a lot of intensity in the race, and we were just off the podium in fourth. All in all, it's been a positive couple of weekends, and we've got one more to go in Salt Lake City – podium or bust!" The resumption of 250SX West saw Ryder DiFrancesco back on track tonight inside the Empower Field at Mile High stadium equipped with the GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition, where he qualified in P9 and then was fourth position in Heat 2 after leading initially. Trouble at the beginning of the Main Event saw him wedged at the back of the pack, however, from there he climbed all the way back to 11th by race's end in a well-earned result. He continues to sit 12th in the series with one round left to run. Ryder DiFrancesco: "Denver was okay, but not the result we wanted. In the Heat race I got a holeshot and led a few laps, which was good. In the Main Event I went down on the opening lap and ended up 11th, but came back even if I didn't ride very well. I'm excited to try and finish up good next weekend before we head outdoors!" Next Race: May 11 – Salt Lake City, Utah Results 450SX Class – Denver 1. Jett Lawrence (AUS), Honda 2. HARD-FOUGHT SIXTH-PLACE RESULT FROM JUSTIN BARCIA IN PHILADELPHIA
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Justin Barcia's run of late-season form continued in the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship at Philadelphia with a sixth-place result in the 450SX Main Event, while teammate Pierce Brown was denied a shot at the 250SX East podium following a final lap mishap. Bam Bam puts up a fight for sixth position in 450SX Main EventPierce Brown in 250SX East podium fight until late crashJust one race remains in eastern region and PB sits third! Barcia was only a second outside of P1 at the end of Qualifying on his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition and stopped the clocks in 10th position, before recording a P3 result in the opening premier class Heat race of Round 15. He was consistent on his way to P6 in the Main Event, withstanding pressure from behind, and maintains ninth in the series points table. Justin Barcia: "We had a good practice today, qualified P10 and I was quite happy with that because we were within a second of the leader, so that was cool. Heat race, it was good, but nothing spectacular. In the Main Event, I came out top-five on the start and rode really well, then got a little tight in the middle. At the end – or really from the mid-stages of the race – Hunter [Lawrence] was on me and we had a really good battle – it was like the hardest fought sixth-place battle ever! I'm really happy with my ride, even if not so much the result. We're on the up and up, the bike was extremely good today, and I'm looking forward to the last two races in Supercross and onto the outdoors." 250SX East teammate Brown was also on the gas in Philly, despite qualifying in seventh position. He rode his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition to fourth in Heat 2 and then factored up front in the Main Event until a crash entering the final lap while positioned in P3 unfortunately saw him drop down the order to a 14th-place finish. Brown has moved to third place in the eastern regional point standings with just one race remaining in the series, while next week we'll see the return of Ryder DiFrancesco in 250SX West at Denver. Both will be on track in Salt Lake City's 250SX East/West Showdown for the Supercross Finals. Next Race: May 4 – Denver, Colorado Results 450SX Class – Philadelphia 1. Jett Lawrence (AUS), Honda 2. SOLID TOP-FIVE FINISH FOR JUSTIN BARCIA IN NASHVILLE SUPERCROSS
Back inside the top five and forming a platform to build upon, Nashville was kind to Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Justin Barcia with a P5 finish in the 450SX Main Event tonight. And he's eager to keep trending in the right direction with just three rounds remaining in the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship! Bam Bam scores first top-five result since Round 3 podium Pierce and Ryder D go head-to-head in 250SX East/West Showdown PB maintains fourth in eastern regional series standings The result marked Justin's best since he was third in San Diego toward the beginning of the year, continuing to make progress on his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition, and satisfied with his night inside Nissan Stadium. Bam Bam was 13th in the afternoon sessions and then improved to sixth in his Heat, before featuring closer to the front of the pack when it counted, and he's currently ninth in the standings. Justin Barcia: "Practice was decent, didn't feel like I was lighting the world on fire, and didn't qualify where I wanted, but all-in-all it was okay. Heat race, rode average, so I knew I needed to get it together, and we made a few changes for the Main Event. We got off to a decent start, made a lot of passes in the first couple of laps, and then I felt like I rode really well under pressure in the middle of the race. I made a charge toward the end and finished fifth – a top-five feels really good. We've been working hard, but it's been very challenging, and it's good to be closer to where we want to be. We've got a few more races, so we'll keep at it!" Nashville also marked the first 250SX East/West Showdown of the year, where both 250SX East regular Pierce Brown and 250SX West recruit Ryder DiFrancesco met on track riding their GASGAS MC 250F Factory Editions. PB was on the gas in Qualifying for P3 on the eastern region and then recorded a second-place score in his Heat, before things came unstuck for him in the Main Event. In the end, he took the checkered flag in 11th but has retained fourth in the 250SX East point standings. Pierce Brown: "It wasn't the best night and I'm a little frustrated. I was in a really good spot on the first lap of the Main, made a mistake in the whoops, and that cost me. I feel like I left a good result out there, but sometimes you've just gotta move on. We definitely need to improve the result in the next race, but I felt great on the bike all day and that's what matters. I just need to bring my best version of me to Philly!" After setting the eighth-best lap of qualifying in 250SX West, Ryder D led his share of the restarted Heat race on his way to a confidence-boosting third-place result, but had to settle for 19th in the Main Event after striking trouble. The high-profile rookie is now positioned 12th in the championship order with two rounds in class left to run. Ryder DiFrancesco: "All day was good for me here in Nashville. I led the Heat race for a while until the last lap, so that was cool to finally lead some laps, and then in the Main Event my start wasn't good, but I basically came from last to around seventh or eighth in the middle stages. At that point I went for a pass, ended up falling down, and was pretty far back in the pack from there. Everything else was really good throughout the day though, so I am excited for Denver." RAPID CONSISTENCY CONTINUES FOR PIERCE BROWN WITH FOURTH AT FOXBOROUGH SUPERCROSS
They say consistency is key and that's exactly what Pierce Brown continues to deliver with Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing in 250SX East, finishing fourth for the third-consecutive round and maintaining his string of top-five scores in AMA Supercross 2024. PB keeps his top-five run intact with fourth position250SX East title is still within reach with three rounds to run!Bam Bam finishes just outside of the top 10 in 450SX Brown has been in career form on his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition this season, continuing to knock on the door of an elusive podium. Despite only sitting eighth at the end of qualifying, he jumped to P4 in his Heat race and then replicated that result in the Main Event with a P4 finish. Pierce is also fourth in points, just 15 outside of the red plate. Pierce Brown: "Foxborough was an alright night! I feel like I struggled throughout the day and then I pulled it together in the Main Event. I had a decent start and then rode consistently in fourth, which was all I had tonight. We'll go back to work next week and then see you guys in Nashville!" Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing 450SX contender Justin Barcia also gained strength as Round 13 of the season went into the night program, racing to fourth position in Heat 1 of the premier class. Bam Bam then powered his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition to 11th in the Main Event, which wasn't the result he was looking for but will be one to build upon into the final four races of the AMA Supercross season. Foxborough saw the Supercross Futures drop the gates again, where GASGAS-backed Cole Davies qualified in second position during the afternoon. He recovered from an early mishap in the Main Event, climbing from outside the top 10 to take the checkered flag in a solid fifth position. SIXTH OVERALL CAPS OFF SOLID ST. LOUIS TRIPLE CROWN FOR JUSTIN BARCIA
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Justin Barcia finished sixth in the third and final Triple Crown stop of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, with teammate Ryder DiFrancesco matching his 250SX West season-best result with P8 overall. Supercross takes on final Triple Crown round of the seasonSixth overall for Bam Bam following 6-4-10 scorecardRyder D matches his best result of the year in 250SX West Despite qualifying down the order in 14th position, Barcia meant business once the gates dropped on the trio of Main Events and was consistent on his way to sixth in Race 1. He once again factored inside the top 10 on his way to fourth place in the second race, before 10th in Race 3 capped off his night. That placed Bam Bam sixth overall on his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition, still positioned ninth in the standings. Justin Barcia: "St. Louis was a little difficult in practice, being an extremely tough track, really soft and rutted. We had to make little changes throughout the day, and I got really comfortable by the second Main Event. We're making a lot of progress, so now we've gotta make it happen for a result – we never give up and we'll keep at it." Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing teammate Ryder DiFrancesco qualified 10th this afternoon and then improved on that to post seventh-place scores across the opening two races of the night. An early fall while in top-five contention saw him finish 12th, which saw him credited eighth overall for the weekend. He's now ranked 13th in the point standings after equaling his best result of the year on the GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition. Ryder DiFrancesco: "Tonight was good. We had three very good starts and that was a plus. In the first one I went back to seventh, and then in the second race I ran third for a long time, but was seventh again. In the last one, I went down on the first lap, came back to 12th and that gave me eighth overall, so it was a lot better. Starting up front makes things a lot easier and I had fun tonight!" St. Louis also saw the Supercross Futures back in action, where GASGAS-backed Cole Davies claimed another podium finish in third position. After winning Anaheim 2 and then placing second at Daytona, it was his third top-three result of the year onboard his GASGAS MC 250F. JUSTIN BARCIA BATTLES TO TOP 10 FINISH IN TECHNICAL SEATTLE SUPERCROSS
Seattle produced some of the toughest conditions of the year in the AMA Supercross Championship at Lumen Field, but for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Justin Barcia it was another opportunity to keep making progress in 450SX, and that's what he did on his way to ninth position in the Main Event at Round 11 of the season. Bam Bam battles hard on his way to third-straight top 10Fourth in Heat race displays the promise of Barcia and MC 450F Factory Edition250SX West resumes with Ryder D racing to 13th after a late mistake Off the back of finishing ninth in Birmingham and eighth in Indianapolis, Barcia has been regaining form in recent weeks and that continued by qualifying P8 and then finishing fourth in Heat 1 on his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition. He ran as high as fifth in the 450SX Main Event, only to go down in the second half of the race and he wasn't able to recover from there on his way to P9. Justin Barcia: "I had a good practice today and the track was tough all day. In the Heat race, I got off to a bad start, but charged through the pack really well and was P4, so I was happy with that and I felt really good going into the Main Event. It was a good start in the Main, I was riding well and was battling with the guys even though I rode a little bit tight in the beginning. I loosened up in the middle, but unfortunately had a crash and didn't ride to my ability after that. We're getting there, getting better every weekend and our time will come, but until then we'll keep working and get after it!" The 250SX West season resumed with round six of that series, as Ryder DiFrancesco looked to make an impact on his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition. He was 12th in practice after being greeted by muddy conditions, but rode to fourth in his Heat race. A late crash in the Main Event dropped him outside of the top 10 to 13th place as he took the checkered flag, but it's clear that our Supercross newcomer will be able to build upon that result in the coming weeks as experience builds. Ryder DiFrancesco: "It was a decent night and I feel like I rode better than what the results obviously show. The track was tough, but it was a good day and I was able to improve with stuff that I worked on during the break. Unfortunately, I went down on the last lap and lost around five positions, but St. Louis should be good and I'm excited to head into the Triple Crown round there." PIERCE BROWN KEEPS CHARGING WITH P4 FINISH AT INDY TRIPLE CROWN
Fourth place overall marked another convincing performance from Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing rider Pierce Brown in 250SX East at the Indianapolis Triple Crown round of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, remaining in the title race over halfway through the season. 450SX teammate Justin Barcia is trending in the right direction after taking P8 overall tonight. PB rebounds from opening race to land on 250SX East podiumSecond in the final race the highlight for Brown in tricky conditionsEncouraging eighth overall continues Bam Bam's 450SX climb A tough opening race saw Brown recover from an early crash for 12th and then he managed to salvage fourth despite going down again in Race 2, before his best ride of the night was saved for last when he charged to second position riding the GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition. That 12-4-2 scorecard placed him fourth overall for the second week in a row, continuing his perfect stretch of top-five finishes and he's still third in points – only 11 outside of the red plate. Pierce Brown: "Fourth overall, I'm not stoked, but not mad about it after a rough first main. The second two were better with a fourth and a second, so I just need to eliminate those mistakes and we will get there. It was a good way to finish the night in P2, and we will keep pushing from here!" Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing teammate Barcia was also impressive tonight, ripping his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition to 7-9-6 results. After qualifying P8 during the afternoon and then consistently factoring inside the top 10 tonight, his results are on the up and Bam Bam has also now worked his way to ninth in the championship order. Justin Barcia: "I qualified P8, so I was happy with that today and the bike was working really well. First race was a bit of a blur – I don't really quite remember! – but in the second one I was riding well even though I made a few too many little mistakes. Third race, I was all over the guys at the end for a top five and pulled up in sixth. All in all, it was a positive weekend and we're gonna keep pushing hard to have better results and get back on that podium soon." SEASON-BEST FOURTH POSITION FROM PIERCE BROWN IN BIRMINGHAM
Birmingham's ninth round of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship was a solid one for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing, where Pierce Brown recorded a season-best fourth-place finish in 250SX East and Justin Barcia rode to ninth position in the 450SX Main Event. Pierce Brown goes one better for his best result of the season in P4Bam Bam finds a new direction to begin mid-season turnaroundTeam looks ahead to next weekend's second Triple Crown of the year Brown was once again a factor in 250SX East, qualifying in position five during the afternoon and then charging to P2 in his Heat race. From there, he raced to a season-best fourth position in the Main Event, continuing his consistent run of top-five results on the GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition. He's still third in the point standings, only five points outside of the lead following four rounds. Pierce Brown: "I'm happy, but not satisfied. We're still in it in the points, but it wasn't the Main Event that I wanted. I made a couple of mistakes, which cost me a podium, but that was on me – we need better starts. Like I said though, we're in it in the points and I'm stoked with that heading into Indy next weekend! I just need to keep knocking on the door, doing what I'm doing and we'll get it eventually. Overall, we're trending in the right direction!" Tonight was an important one for Barcia on his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition. He was eighth on the charts in qualifying and then surged to fourth place in his Heat, before claiming an encouraging ninth in the 450SX Main Event. That result moved him inside the top 10 in the standings as we move into the second half of the season. Justin Barcia: "Overall, it was a good night, and we had a lot of positives to take away. We went in a different direction with set-up this week and it has given me the comfort I've been looking for, so ready to get back home and put in more work to keep progressing." FIFTH AT DAYTONA SUPERCROSS KEEPS PIERCE BROWN IN 250SX EAST TITLE CONTENTION
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Pierce Brown made it a third-straight fifth-place result to open the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship in 250SX East, delivering another solid performance at the famed Daytona International Speedway. Third-straight top-five result for PB in 250SX EastImprovements evident as Justin Barcia climbs 450SX orderBoth riders qualify strong at the world-famous venue Brown has been a picture of consistency this year equipped with the GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition, going 5-5-5 across the opening three rounds of the eastern region and is now tied for P2 in the standings, only a single point behind the series leader. He qualified fourth and then replicated that finish in his Heat Race, before scoring P5 in the Main Event. Pierce Brown: "Another fifth was okay on paper, but a disappointing night. I didn't get the start that I needed and it was hard to make passes, so we'll regroup and pick some stuff up for next week. Overall, the bike is good and the team is also, I just need to get a start and put myself into position sooner." The weekend was a step forward for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing rider Justin Barcia in 450SX, qualifying in sixth place and then storming to P5 in the opening Heat Race. He was affected by an average start in the Main Event, completing lap one in P18, before putting on a charge to claim 11th position on his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition. Justin Barcia: "Daytona definitely wasn't the result we wanted, but we had some positives in practice, qualified a lot better today and there's some light at the tunnel, which was cool. Led a little bit in the Heat, like half a lap, and then got a bit tight and ended up going down once, but it was okay. In the Main Event, I didn't get off the start the best, had a couple of bobbles, crashed and really just struggled to hold on – I had some bad arm-pump tonight. We'll regroup again and be back at it next week!" Daytona also saw the 250SX Futures on track for the second time this season, where GASGAS amateur racer Cole Davies charged to second position in the Main Event and currently sits on top of the point standings following his 1-2 results to date on the GASGAS MC 250F. SPEED ON PIERCE BROWN'S SIDE IN ARLINGTON WITH ANOTHER TOP-FIVE FINISH
Outright speed was evident yet again for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing's Pierce Brown in the latest round of the AMA Supercross Championship, with Arlington marking the second stop of 250SX East for season 2024. Team celebrates Military Appreciation Round at AT&T StadiumSecond-straight fifth place boosts PB to second in the 250SX EastBam Bam overcomes afternoon crash to claim 450SX points Pace has been on Pierce's side so far across the opening two rounds of 250SX East riding his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition, qualifying in third position today before finishing sixth in his Heat Race. The start didn't go his way in the Main Event, however he managed to put on a charge from outside of the top 10 to fifth position by the time the checkered flag waved. With 5-5 scores to open the series, he's climbed to second in the point standings. Pierce Brown: "Overall, not a bad weekend. Riding was good and I think we improved as a whole, so that was good. We got another fifth, but we're second in points now and we're in this – I'm excited! Now we're back to work on Monday to tighten a few things up before Daytona this weekend." Premier class teammate Justin Barcia pressed on in 450SX following a heavy crash in practice, able to put a difficult afternoon behind him to transfer via a win in the LCQ and then push to 14th in the Main Event. He's now 11th in the championship, motivated to regain full fitness and his front-running form on the GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition. Justin Barcia: "Tough day here in Arlington. I had a big get-off in the final practice, lucky to somewhat come out of it alright with no big injuries – just a bit of whiplash, a bit bruised up, and a bit sore. Unfortunately, a crash in the Heat put me in the LCQ, which I won, and then in the Main Event I got in a second turn pile-up. I put on a good charge, was moving through the pack, and was about to crack into the top 10, but had another crash so that pretty much ended my hopes of a good result. It was a really tough weekend, but we're gonna go back to the drawing board and keep working. We never give up." Results – 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, Round 7 450SX Results – Arlington SX 1. TROY LEE DESIGNS/RED BULL/GASGAS FACTORY RACING LOOKS AHEAD FOLLOWING GLENDALE
Glendale marked the toughest night of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship season so far for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing, with team riders Justin Barcia and Ryder DiFrancesco each experiencing their share of adversity, but remaining motivated to bounce back in the coming weeks. 450SX Class contender Justin Barcia battles hard throughout Main EventA fall in the 250SX West Class Main Event marked the end of Ryder D's nightTroy Lee Designs x Palm Tree Crew collaboration turns heads in Arizona Barcia and his Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing MC 450F Factory Edition charged to a sixth-place finish in his Heat Race, ensuring Bam Bam a place on the line and a decent gate selection as the Main Event arrived. The Main Event would mark a challenging outing for the experienced premier class front-runner, who battled hard just outside the top 10 before going down and eventually being credited with 18th position. He's currently 10th in the 450SX standings entering a single weekend off. With the return of the 250SX West division inside State Farm Stadium, Ryder D completed qualifying in eighth position, equipped with his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition, before racing to sixth place in his Heat Race and enjoying a share of momentum leading to the night’s Main Event. An unfortunate crash, however, saw DiFrancesco end his night prematurely in Glendale with a DNF, but will be fit to race-on in Arlington next month. He will also take advantage of the upcoming six-week break in the 250SX West schedule. Max Lee – Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager: "It was a tough night for the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS team. Ryder started out strong during the first part of the day, he had a couple of bad starts, but ultimately a crash in the Main ended his night early. He was evaluated and released, so will be ready to line up at the next 250 West round. Justin struggled all day, the team worked to get things better, although he ended up crashing in the Main as well. We're ready for a weekend off to regroup and we’ve got some work to do before Arlington." Results – 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, Round 6 450SX Results – Glendale SX 1. Ken Roczen (Suzuki) 2. TROY LEE DESIGNS/RED BULL/GASGAS FACTORY RACING'S PIERCE BROWN CHARGES TO TOP-FIVE FINISH IN DETROIT
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team's Pierce Brown opened his 250SX East campaign with a fifth-place finish at the region's season-opener in Detroit, as 450SX Class racer Justin Barcia raced to a P12 result at Round 5 of the AMA Supercross Championship. The 2024 AMA Supercross Championship shifted East inside Detroit's Ford Field Pierce Brown recovers for fifth place finish as 250SX East Class season takes offFastest in qualifying the highlight for in-form Brown to open the new series Barcia arrived in Detroit onboard his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition, dialing his machine in throughout qualifying before capturing third place in his Heat Race. The Main Event would mark a more challenging outing for Bam Bam, who was buried off the start as the gates dropped. On a rutty, one-lined circuit, the number 51 did what he could to mount a comeback, which resulted in 12th place on the night. Justin Barcia: “Struggled a little bit in practice to find a flow today... the track was super-technical with the ruts. I had a really good Heat Race, it was nice to get the fresh track as the first race of the program, so that was cool. Charged up to third in the Heat, then made a little change heading into the Main Event, and unfortunately it was the wrong direction as I was pretty uncomfortable. Not so good result, but we’re determined to work hard and come out swinging in Arizona!” In his first appearance of 2024, Brown showcased speed immediately as the 250SX East Class opened in Detroit, taking his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition to pole position in qualifying and demonstrating the work having been done throughout the pre-season. Converting his speed to third position in his Heat Race, a mid-pack start for Brown and being caught up in a multi-rider incident to commence the Main Event saw him playing catch up as he sliced his way through the field, capturing a strong fifth place result by race's end. Pierce Brown: “Round 1 for us is over and done with, I got the nerves out of the way which feels good. Overall, not a bad day, I got away lucky especially with what happened at the start of the Main… that was hectic! Salvaged a fifth, which isn’t too bad, and we’re in a good spot for the upcoming races, so I’m excited to put some work in and come out swinging at Round 2.” Results – 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, Round 5 450SX Results – Detroit SX 1. TRIPLE CROWN CHALLENGE FOR TROY LEE DESIGNS/RED BULL/GASGAS FACTORY RACING AT ANAHEIM 2
The Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team endured a challenging night out at Round 4 of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship in Anaheim, California, with 450SX Class racer Justin Barcia credited P13, while 250SX West Class contender Ryder DiFrancesco finished with eighth overall. Ghostbusters partnership headlines first Triple Crown round of the year for AMA SupercrossRyder D posts consistent scorecard to seal P8 finish in 250SX West divisionMXGP World Champion Jorge Prado delivers 12th overall in final 450SX Class appearance of the year Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing’s Barcia arrived at Angel Stadium in style, as the team collaborated with Sony Pictures for the upcoming Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire film, with Bam Bam seated behind the wheel of the iconic 'Ectomobile' before climbing aboard his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition. Race day marked a difficult one for the number 51, who struggled to come to grips with the dry, fast layout that Anaheim 2 presented to the riders. In a night marred with misfortune and falls, the New York native would post 13-16-11 results across the trio of intense Races, which would position him 13th overall. Justin Barcia:“It was a very challenging day for me at A2 and definitely one to leave in the past. I struggled from the get-go… I just wasn’t very comfortable. A few too many crashes, which ruined our races, although I did get good starts! In the second Race I was in a good position, then had a big crash. Race 3, I was caught up with another rider getting squirrely, which put me back, and overall just a very challenging day. We'll need a rebound in Detroit!” DiFrancesco opened Round 4 by posting the seventh-fastest qualifying time in 250SX West, which the young Californian would back up with a strong fifth place in Race 1 after fighting for the lead early on his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition. A consistent seventh-place in Race 2, combined with 12th in Race 3, saw Ryder D take home eighth overall for the weekend. Ryder DiFrancesco:“Positives from the weekend were my starts, they were way better, and then in Race 1 I was right amongst the fight. I made some mistakes across the day, but I'm ready to take this next weekend off and come back for Glendale in a better position.” Anaheim 2 presented another night of learning for defending MXGP World Champion Jorge Prado, gaining immense experience across the opening four rounds through the month of January. Racing his first-career Triple Crown, the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing regular delivered a 12-8-15 scorecard, earning the Spaniard 12th overall for his final outing in AMA Supercross for the 2024 season. Jorge Prado:“Just finished my racing here in the U.S. and it’s been a great experience. I would say that this was my second real Supercross behind Anaheim 1, because this one and A1 seemed like the track was more realistic to Supercross with the conditions. I’m happy with my progress, the Triple Crown today was way different again... So much speed and intensity in the first laps, and I struggled with that, especially in the first one. I dropped back to P12 quickly, so I made more adjustments for the other two. But overall, I am quite satisfied, it’s been a good experience, for sure, and with more racing I could get better, so I am motivated for the future.” Anaheim 2 also saw the opening stop of the 250SX Futures development category, where new GASGAS amateur recruit Cole Davies won the Main Event to commence his 2024 AMA Supercross campaign in fine fashion on the top step of the podium. PODIUM SCORE IN SAN DIEGO FOR TROY LEE DESIGNS/RED BULL/GASGAS FACTORY RACING’S JUSTIN BARCIA
Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team’s Justin Barcia rebounded in style following a spell with illness to claim a strong third-place finish in the 450SX Main Event in San Diego, as 250SX West Class contender Ryder DiFrancesco finished with a consistent P9 result. Bam Bam battles to first 450SX podium of the 2024 season inside Snapdragon StadiumNinth-place finish for newcomer Ryder D in the 250SX West Class Main EventMXGP World Champion Jorge Prado to race Anaheim 2 after an 11th-place result Barcia collected the 12th fastest time in a tight 450SX qualifying session this afternoon, before racing his way to a solid fourth-place result in his Heat Race on the slick surface following constant rainfall in the area throughout the day. Launching out of the gates on board his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition in the Main Event, Barcia was inside the top three immediately as he began battling for the lead, shadowing the leaders as the race progressed. In what was a grueling encounter, he posted a calculated ride as the race wore on, with the number 51 sealing the third position. Justin Barcia: “San Diego was a crazy day! We only had two practices, as the weather came in, so I qualified decent, but not where I wanted to be. Although, I kept a cool head and got through the Heat Race with a solid result. Main Event, I knew it was going to be gnarly – the track broke down a lot! I got off to an okay start, found second behind Aaron [Plessinger], and then missed the triple one lap, which let Cooper [Webb] get by me. Came in with a lonely third place, but super-stoked after last week and knowing that my health is nearly back to 100 percent.” DiFrancesco commenced Round 3 by posting the seventh-fastest qualifying time in 250SX West, which the youthful Californian would back up with fourth place in his Heat Race as he geared up for the night’s Main Event. A mid-field start followed by a consistent ride on a brutal track surface saw DiFrancesco piece together a race that saw him take the checkered flag in P9, as he navigated the treacherous conditions inside Snapdragon Stadium. Ryder DiFrancesco: “Good weekend overall! I need to fix little mistakes that are keeping me from being upfront, but lots of positives to take away as we head into Anaheim again next weekend.” San Diego marked another consistent night of Supercross racing for defending MXGP World Champion Prado, whose third-career AMA Supercross event yielded the capable young Spaniard a sixth-place finish in his Heat Race for a direct transfer into the Main Event. Prado would follow that up with an 11th-place finish in the premier class Main Event, and the good news is that he and the Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing Team have made the decision for him to remain in the U.S. and line up again at Anaheim 2 next Saturday. Jorge Prado: “Today was another good experience. It was again not too easy after getting a bad start in the Main Event... I think the jump out of the gate was okay, but I got a lot of wheel spin, which sent me backward and meant I was one of the last to the first corner. My opening laps weren’t great, and then I got confused with the blue flags and let the riders who I was battling with by me, which was a pity. It is what it is, I can improve with my opening lap intensity, but I’m excited for three Main Events next weekend in the Triple Crown at A2 as I would like to at least be able to make one holeshot and enjoy that format of racing!” Results – 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, Round 3 450SX Results – San Diego SX 1. PROMISE ON SHOW FOR TROY LEE DESIGNS/RED BULL/GASGAS FACTORY RACING IN TOUGH SAN FRANCISCO CONDITIONS
The second round of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship marked a mixed night out for the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team, with 450SX contender Justin Barcia salvaging points after battling through sickness this week, and Ryder DiFrancesco experiencing the highs and lows of racing in the 250SX West Class. Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team’s battles in the mud of San FranciscoRyder D earns first Heat Race victory before enduring difficulties in the Main EventRed Bull GASGAS Factory Racing’s MXGP World Champion Jorge Prado raced to a 450SX Heat Race victory and seventh position Round 2 marked a challenging night for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing’s Barcia, who put in a warrior-like effort to endure the treacherous conditions while managing an illness. He qualified his way into the Main Event via the LCQ, where he would pilot his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition to 17th place. Justin Barcia: “Crazy day here in San Francisco, crazy event. I got a serious sickness coming into this race, so I couldn’t ride or train, had to hit the hospital a couple of times, and I'm just really happy to be here. It was really tough with the weather, and unfortunately, my body was pretty hammered – made it hard on myself by going to the LCQ, but all-in-all it was a survival mode weekend for me. I'm happy to be in one piece and am looking forward to being healthy and putting my bike up front.” DiFrancesco opened his San Francisco race day by posting the 13th-fastest time in the sole qualifying session, before rocketing out of the gates aboard his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition in the second 250SX West Heat Race to the holeshot. Intent on checking out, DiFrancesco built a staggering 20-second margin between him and the second-place rider, sealing the first Heat Race win of his career in impressive fashion. An unfortunate start to the Main Event for DiFrancesco had him buried deep in the field, with the Californian ultimately ending up with an unfortunate DNF in the mud. Ryder DiFrancesco: “It was a good night here until it wasn’t! All day I felt good in the mud, I don’t know where that comes from – maybe Bakersfield when it’s muddy, but that’s once a year... It was good to get my first Heat Race win, which is a cool feeling! We have a bunch of stuff to work on, but good thing we get to line up again next weekend.” Current MXGP World Champion Prado made his second AMA Supercross start in San Francisco with 12th in qualifying, quickly followed up by a massive Heat Race holeshot and a thrilling performance to secure the opening 450SX Heat Race victory. A measured ride during the Main Event saw the Spaniard claim a commendable seventh-place result. Jorge Prado: “Second round is done, and I am very happy about everything. I feel like I got used to the format already after last weekend, which is a big adjustment for me, especially learning a new track in eight or nine laps. But hey, good start in the Heat and some good opening laps, stayed consistent, and got my first-ever Heat Race win! I was super happy about that because I’m not a big mud specialist, then in the Main Event the gate dropped very quickly, and I got a bad start. I slowly made my way through the field and only wanted to stay on the bike, that was my goal, so with seventh place, I am very happy.” Results – 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, Round 2 450SX Results – San Francisco SX 1. Consistent results for Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team at AMA Supercross season-opener
AMA Supercross roared back into action at the famed Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, this Saturday, as the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team entered the fray with Justin Barcia securing seventh place in the 450SX ranks, with new recruit Ryder DiFrancesco taking ninth place in 250SX West. Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team’s Justin Barcia finishes with seventh place at the season-openerRyder DiFrancesco races to ninth place in 250SX West Class on first outing with GASGASRed Bull GASGAS Factory Racing's MXGP World Champion Jorge Prado delivers P13 in Supercross debut The buzz surrounding the opening round was in the air as riders met for the first time in months, hitting the track for the opening qualifying session of the year eager to showcase the improvements made throughout the off-season. For Barcia, limited seat time following his recovery from injury saw him land P13, equipped his GASGAS MC 450F Factory Edition. Fifth position in his Heat Race earned Barcia a direct transfer into the Main Event, where he would charge hard all race long inside the top 10 and translate his pace into a seventh-place result to begin his 2024 challenge Justin Barcia: “Anaheim 1 was a stressful day and mostly because of the unknown... I didn’t have the strongest off-season I’ve ever had in my career, but I just used my veteran skills and had a good day! Qualifying wasn’t where I wanted to be, but I kept a cool head and had a decent Heat Race. And then in the Main Event, I made some good passes there and then had a good battle with Chase [Sexton], Aaron [Plessinger], and a couple of other guys, then tightened up a little bit at the end there. All-in-all, I was happy to get a top 10 and the goal for the season is to build as we go.” Piloting his GASGAS MC 250F Factory Edition for the first time in race conditions, DiFrancesco was on the gas from the outset, improving from 11th in qualifying and racing to a sixth-place finish in the opening 250SX Heat Race of the year. A top-10 start saw DiFrancesco battling for position throughout the entirety of the Main Event, pushing hard to move his way up the order. Ninth place was the result by the conclusion of the race, banking a solid amount of points and experience as the series next heads to San Francisco. Ryder DiFrancesco: “It was a good night for A1, the first round is always a bit nerve-wracking, and it’s just the little things, like making it through the Heat Race into the Main Event. They’re things that no one really thinks about, so that was a huge check-off for me, and I know I have a lot more in me! Ninth isn’t where I want to be, but I ran fifth or sixth for half the race and I’m now stoked for San Francisco.” Lining up for his first career start in 450SX, all eyes were on defending MXGP World Champion Jorgo Prado as the Spaniard debuted in the tight confines of Supercross. After posting the ninth-fastest qualifying time, The Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing rider signaled his intentions early, and a solid eighth place in his Heat Race resulted in a direct transfer to the Main Event. Prado powered out of the gates to one of his patented fast starts in the Main Event, mixing it up amongst the top Supercross riders in the world as he battled for position. Noting the track deterioration during the race, he gained invaluable experience under the lights of Angel Stadium, and finished in 13th place. Jorge Prado: “First-ever Supercross race is done, and what an experience! It’s so different from what I am used to, and it was just a day of building. I felt good in practice every time, and then the night show the track was so different. I’m used to riding the test tracks with a harder base and different whoops, so every time I tried to go through these ones, they were so different, which made it difficult and unpredictable. I didn’t find a good flow in the Main Event, but got a good start. I think next week we will move in the right direction, especially with having one race under my belt, and P13 I think is not a bad start.” Results – 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, Round 1 450SX Results – Anaheim I SX 1. Defending MXGP World Champion Jorge Prado to open 2024 season with AMA Supercross cameo
A two-week shakedown in Southern California training at RD Field is all it took for defending MXGP World Champion Jorge Prado to make the decision to try his hand at AMA Supercross, set to make a fascinating cameo appearance across the opening three rounds of the 2024 season. MXGP World Champion to make AMA Supercross Championship debut in 2024Partnering with the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing TeamPlanning to line up in 450SX Class at Anaheim 1, San Francisco and San Diego That's right, our Spanish sensation is in for Anaheim 1, San Francisco and San Diego this coming January, equipped with the GASGAS MC 450F in what will be his first-ever American Supercross start – straight into the premier 450SX ranks on debut. And we're stoked to see it! Fresh from clinching the 2023 FIM Motocross World Championship in the MXGP category, which was a milestone achievement for both himself and GASGAS with the Davide De Carli-managed squad, Jorge had expressed his lifelong dream of sampling the sport of Supercross – and potentially making a 450SX start! – in the United States. From there, accompanied by a blitz of media attention throughout his brief off-season excursion, the capabilities of the the talented 22-year-old were evident from the outset while applying his craft within the tighter confines of training on a full-scale supercross track layout. Together between Jorge, his regular Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing Team and the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team, it was decided that he will go on to contest the opening three rounds of the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship in a bid to gain experience via a series of gate-drops and race mileage in the U.S. during what will still be the Grand Prix off-season. Jorge Prado: “Since I started riding my dream has always been to one day race in the U.S., specifically to race Supercross. I have watched it my whole life on television and always thought it must be great to race under lights with a huge crowd and atmosphere! And more specifically, it must be great to race at an iconic stadium like Angel Stadium. I was lucky enough in 2015, while visiting and training in the U.S., to go to Anaheim 1 – it was a great experience and made me want to try it even more. So given I won the MXGP title this year and am totally healthy and looking for a new challenge, I thought it was the perfect time in my career to come and train in USA properly to prepare for a few Supercross races. I don’t want to waste another whole year wondering if I could or should, so I am here and I am going to try it out. I’m really looking forward to it and am lucky enough to have the full support of my Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing Team back home with Claudio and Davide de Carli, and the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team here in the USA behind me.” Roger De Coster (Director of Motorsports, North America): “The main goal for Jorge in 2024 is to defend the world title he earned this past season, but of course we are excited to see what he can do on a Supercross track. We all know that he is very talented, given he’s already a multiple times Motocross World Champion, having won in MX2 and being the current MXGP Champion. However, we also know that Supercross at the highest level is extremely competitive and to race with the top here requires a lot of toughness besides talent, so this will be a huge challenge for him. We wish him the very best and are glad that with the support of TLD GASGAS we are able to support his wishes to try Supercross!” Davide De Carli (Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager): “Jorge fulfilled his dream in Europe to become MXGP World Champion this year and we are so proud of him. His desire now is to train in the U.S. and to try Supercross, because he hasn't had the opportunity until now and from our side he completely deserves it. We, as a team, along with Pit Beirer and Robert Jonas have been completely open since day one with Jorge about giving him the opportunity to race Supercross and we will support him from Europe! We can’t wait to see him line up at A1 as it’s important for him to race those first three rounds to clarify in his mind where his racing future is, as he’s still really young and can try it out. It’s also good winter training for him before the start of the MXGP season, where his goal is to defend his number one plate in 2024. Good luck, Jorge!” Following his scheduled three-round appearance in the 2024 AMA Supercross Championship, Jorge will return to Europe and prepare for his MXGP World Championship defense, which will open at the MXGP of Patagonia-Argentina on March 10, 2024.

Where traditionally urban bikes follow function over form, the GASGAS MOTO proves you can have both with its unique and daring style. Ensuring simplicity in design, the durable, and very red, steel frame creates a relaxed riding position that’s ‘one-size fits-all’ thanks to its extra-long bench seat. 20” wheels compliment the look and feel of this two-wheeled party bike! But we felt that wasn’t enough. So, we’ve upped the potential of this one-size-fits-all urban cruiser to create even more fun for the North American markets. Available in two options, both the MOTO 1 and the MOTO 2 feature the strong, reliable, and super powerful rear hub H550 motor by renowned manufacturer Bafang. Coming in hot for 2024 with a rad lineup of 450 and 250 riders, this year’s squad is fully locked in with Max Lee as Team Manager for the second year. Adding style and flare to the team’s aesthetics, we’re proud to continue our successful relationship with Troy Lee Designs (TLD) for another three years. As a longtime partner of the KTM Group and our motorsports efforts, TLD was a founding force of GASGAS Factory Racing’s entry into U.S. SX/MX racing and we couldn’t be more proud of where the team is after three seasons together. Troy Lee: "I feel super privileged to continue our partnership with GASGAS for our race team. GASGAS is becoming more technical and advanced than ever before, not only on the motorcycle front but with bicycles too, which has been an amazing opportunity for me to collaborate on both. I am proud to team up with Stefan Pierer and the entire KTM Group for its factory efforts. I’m stoked to go racing with the coolest team on the coolest bikes. Let's go 2024!” Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager, Max Lee: “I am very excited for the 2024 race season. We have a new 250 rider who joined the group and we are already in full swing training for A1. It’s been a blast getting to work with these guys and I’d like to thank everyone from GASGAS and Troy Lee Designs for the support and plan to have an outstanding next year with this team. We have a lot of positives to take away from the ‘23 season and we plan to keep building this off-season and be fighting for race wins come January!” In the premier class, Justin Barcia is back in action for ’24 aboard the MC 450F Factory Edition. Barcia claimed six podium finishes in his ’23 450SX campaign, one of which was a win at East Rutherford, New Jersey and he’s hungry for more! Most recently on the mend from collarbone surgery, Barcia is taking the time to properly heal so he can come out swinging when the gate drops for A1 in January. As a longtime TLD athlete and original member of the GASGAS Factory squad, Pierce Brown is back for his fourth season on the MC 250F Factory Edition. Brown ended the SX season with three top-fives in the Western division, but bad luck kept him off the box and on the sideline for the first half of the outdoor season. For ’24, Brown is feeling fresh and ready to get on the gas! The team’s newest recruit, Ryder DiFrancesco, is underway with pre-season prep on his new MC 250F Factory Edition as he eagerly awaits his rookie 250SX campaign with a brand-new team and set up. At 18 years old, Ryder D is ready to prove that age is just a number in the big leagues! Justin Barcia: “I always look forward to these team events, the crew always finds a good location and we have a lot of fun and hang out with the team. Going into ‘24, I’m amped! I had some signs of brilliance in ‘23 SX but unfortunately, I had a little bit of tough luck. I’m just looking forward to improving all the things I worked on in ‘23 that I wasn’t able to fully show and if I would have put everything together a little earlier and not had a couple injuries we would have been in that fight. Obviously, the bike is really good, the team is really good and I’m looking forward to having a really fun season with my family, of course, watching my son grow up but also going out there and fighting for those wins and the championship. Can’t wait!” Pierce Brown: “I’m excited for the 2024 season! I’ve been feeling really good on the bike and I’m excited to get some redemption in the supercross and motocross seasons.” Ryder DiFrancesco: “I am excited to go racing in 2024 with an all-new look! I have always wanted to race for Troy since I went to my first-ever Supercross race and I’ve been having so much fun with the team and learning the new bike.” To celebrate the GASGAS MOTO dropping into North American dealers, we’re hosting a public event in the heart of Huntington Beach, Calif. and you’re invited! We’ll also have some MOTO demo bikes to test ride too. So, come and find us at Sahara SandBar and we’ll tell you more. Bring Your Heat! With the GASGAS MOTO 1 already available at North American dealers, availability for its MOTO 2 sibling will resume in the weeks to come.

SAM SUNDERLAND WITHDRAWS FROM RALLYE DU MAROC FOLLOWING STAGE ONE
After putting in a courageous effort to complete the opening stage at the 2023 Rallye du Maroc, Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing’s Sam Sunderland has made the difficult decision to withdraw from the event. Unable to race at 100% following his pre-race crash, Sam, with the support of the whole team, will now focus on getting back to full fitness before beginning to prepare for the upcoming Dakar Rally in January 2024. It’s been a challenging year for Sam. Following a highly successful 2022 season where he claimed his second-career Dakar Rally victory, the Brit went on to be crowned FIM World Rally-Raid Champion. But in racing, anything can happen, and the cards certainly didn’t fall Sam’s way in 2023. Heal up soon, Sam, and we’ll see you at Dakar ‘24. Andreas Hölzl – Red Bull GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager: “This is for sure not the way we wanted to end the season with Sam, but as he’s still suffering from his pre-race crash, it was the right decision for him to withdraw after stage one. Everyone at Red bull GASGAS Factory Racing supports his decision and now Sam will rest, recover, and begin focusing on the upcoming Dakar Rally in January.”

Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing has signed Ryder DiFrancesco for the 2024 SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX) season, spanning the AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross Championships, as well as the high-profile SMX Finals series. Ryder D is GASGAS-bound for 2024 onboard the MC 250F Factory EditionTroy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing lands talented teenage prospect2024 season will mark DiFrancesco's first in 250SX regional division Still just 18 years of age, Ryder D is regarded as one of the sport's finest young talents in U.S. competition, emerging from a highly-decorated amateur career into the professional ranks this year with immediate promise and a share of encouraging results. The 2024 season will see DiFrancesco line up for his rookie 250SX campaign – the specific region yet to be determined – when the gates drop on Supercross early next year, in addition to his second term of lining up outdoors in 250MX, and the SMX post-season. Max Lee, Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team Manager: "We're super-excited to have Ryder DiFrancesco join the team for the 2024 racing season. He has a lot of talent and a good work ethic, so I think he’s a great fit for the group and the GASGAS brand!" After beginning this year in Supercross Futures, Ryder went on to contest the entire Pro Motocross Championship, achieving four top 10 overall results in 11 rounds, and a season-best of sixth at Ironman Raceway's final round, which earned him 10th place in the standings. DiFrancesco continued that form at SMX Playoff 1 in Charlotte, where he finished fourth overall, and would eventually race to 12th position in the 250SMX Championship. Now, the opportunity to GET ON THE GAS arrives, and the teenager is eager to take on fresh challenges in a new environment, equipped with the razor-sharp MC 250F Factory Edition. Ryder DiFrancesco: "I am very excited to make the transition to the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team for my first full professional season! I’m ready for new challenges and learning a new bike, which is the exciting part of what's ahead together."

Pierce Brown scores highest finish of SMX World Championship season
Visiting the birthplace of Supercross, the Los Angeles Coliseum, the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team was looking for strong finishes to close out the SuperMotocross playoffs. The Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing was a beehive of activity all day long as this is close to their home turf Justin Barcia had a tough end to his ’23 campaign Pierce Brown had his best race of the SMX Playoffs 250 Pierce Brown stepped things up for the final round of the SMX Playoff, qualifying in third position, and setting himself with a great gate pick for the night’s racing. When the gate dropped for the first moto, he rounded the first turn in 13th aboard his MC 250F Factory Edition, picked off a few spots on the first lap, and powered his way up to eighth by the checkered flag. For the second moto, he was 11th around the first turn, and sixth by the time they finished the first lap, and fifth at the finish. That gave him seventh overall for the night, and 11th overall in the series. Pierce Brown: “The last round of SuperMotocross is done and dusted. All around it was a pretty good day. I qualified good. In moto one I had a bad start, but I ended up eighth. In moto two I got a better start, and I ended up fifth so I was happy with that. I feel like I was riding good all day...I'm happy with it. I'm ready to take some time off and then get back to work. " 450 For Justin Barcia, his night was spectacular, but unfortunately, far too brief. Justin has had a string of great starts during the SMX Playoffs, and that continued in the Coliseum, as he powered his MC 450F Factory Edition into second as he rounded the first turn. He had made a pass for the lead on the first lap, but a hard crash immediately after that put an end to his night. He finished his season in seventh overall among the 450 class competitors. Justin Barcia finishes sixth in Chicagoland SuperMotocross
The second round of the SuperMotocross Playoffs gave the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team a chance to rebound from a tough first round, and they found a very fast and flowing circuit at Chicagoland Speedway. Double points meant double opportunity for the Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/GASGAS Factory Racing Team Justin Barcia scored a 4-10 for sixth overall Pierce Brown tallied a pair of 11th-place finishes for 11th overall 450 Once again showing starting prowess and the power of his MC 450F Factory Edition, Justin Barcia rounded the first turn in the top three. He briefly moved to second before being passed by a pair of riders who moved him to his eventual fourth-place finishing spot. In the second moto, he once again rounded the first turn in the top two, despite starting well on the outer half of the gate. Unfortunately, a crash in the sand section dropped him to 11th, and he was only able to pick up one spot before the finish. Still, his 4-10 moto finishes were good for sixth overall, and he currently holds down the seventh spot in the 450 standings. Justin Barcia: “Chicagoland was a good day. I had good qualifying sessions, I was feeling good and had a good first moto. In the second moto I had a crash in the sand, and I was pretty stacked up from there, I couldn't really make any passes and struggled a little after that. That was a tough second moto. But the first moto was really good so we had a few positives this weekend and I'm looking forward to getting back to California, doing a little bit of work before the last race, and going out with a good last race at the L.A. Coliseum.” 250 For Pierce Brown and his MC 250F Factory Edition, his day was all about 11th. Two 11th-place finishes resulted in an 11th overall. Pierce Brown: “I felt a little under the weather all day. I just didn't have what I needed, so we're just going to rest up and get ready for the last round."
